Yesterday was the best day of the week to be on the lake.
We launched at Port Douglas around 11 am, and headed a bit south. We were out of the water around 4 pm.
Such a nice calm day, nice warm sun, and fish cooperated.
We landed 10 nice lakers, all released.
All bites were on downriggers, 20-30 feet behind. Started around 15-20 deep and as weather warmed up, the last catches were a bit deeper around 30-35. Color did not matter, they hit hard on the spoons.
We saw a lot of markings around 100-120 feet but did not bother to fish that deep.
