First timer!

Post by Heavy Balls »

Some buddies and I are looking at trying our hand at trolling Champlain this spring. Would be coming from northern NH. What would be the best place to launch? We have downriggers and lead core, not looking for the secret spots but any tips on where to start would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Really depends on the time of year and water conditions. If you target Converse there is good water within easy distance all year long so it is a good start..

You can launch from the bridge on the vt side if it is closer for you. but you would be fishing or traveling north every trip. Sometimes as much as 10-15 miles on water.

When the water is around 50deg. surface you can find em anywhere…

Good luck and welcome aboard.
