I have a smaller boat, so being able to put in closer to fishing spots is prefereable. below are a couple of boat launch sites that I found online. Any feedback in terms of quality, things to look out for, or avoid would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys,

-Button Bay
-Fort Cassin Rd, Otter Creek WMA
-Lewis Creek
-McCuen Slang

Button Bay's approach to the water is quite steep. It can be tough with a north wind as well. When I had my small boat, I had a wave break over the transome and fill my rig with water when I was loading up. An option for you may want to try would be Arnold's Bay, just to the south of Button Bay. Follow Lake Road south. At the Panton Store, turn right and follow the signs to the Tri-Town Water District plant.
Red Gate (Ft. Cassin) at the mouth of the Otter Creek is a well protected launch which is great for smaller boats. You'll have to deal with the river currents at times. Watch the point to the north at the mouth. It reaches out into the water a ways.
The Slang is a good option as well as long as the lake level doesn't get too low. It can get weedy in the summer. Hopefully the new launch under the bridge will be done before too long. It should be nice.
Lewis Creek is another good option for small boats. 'can get buggy in the spring and summer. Watch the water level. It can get shallow.

Of the bunch use Ft Cassin or Converse for mid lake access.

The Slang has a sandbar at the mouth of it and if the lake level is low you will have to push over it with motor up, same goes for Lewis Creek.

I second the vote for Converse Bay launch.
