Definitely not a Salmon

Thursday Nov. 3
Launched at first light from Crown Point. Headed North for deeper water and looking for Salmon. Setup in 60 fw with first rigger at 50 pulling small speedy shiner. Before we could set second rigger first one fires and line pulling out. Fish staying down and made several runs. Thought maybe Laker. Shortly fish surfaced and made several rolls. Still thinking Laker. After getting closer could not believe what we had. Landed aprox 30 in Pike. Never would have believed a Pike at 50 ft down. Continued North setting up second rigger and two slide divers all pulling small spoons. Also set up cheater lines on riggers. My buddy finale caught his first LC salmon on one of the cheater lines. Although it was too small to keep it was great getting first Salmon. Stayed on North troll and picked up 5 more small Salmon and 2 white fish. Only caught one Salmon on side diver all others on cheater with same lure. White fish came on riggers. Overall a great day for early November. With enclosure up on Pontoon it was comfortable even with cool temp and breezy conditions.
