Inland Sea

Post by striper192001 »

Fished with a new buddy on Friday. Hit Sandbar at 7 am. Fished on his Tracker 24 ft fishing barge. First time trolling on a pontoon boat and what a great experience! Great setup with his Cannon Mag 10A's. There were four of us and tons of room. Great setup with couple of livewells. We stacked the riggers and had a lead core setup out the back. Had to work hard to find bait and went 1 for 4 with bringing home a 20 inch salmon. Trolled cowbanks and Eagle mountain. Had a great day despite lack of fish, asked him where the grill was and said he has one for boat, just sitting at home.
Really nice trolling platform.......

Would love to see pics of this rig… I live to have a good size crew for the fun and banter… that boat sounds like you could fish 6 comfortably.

I have a 22 ft pontoon and think it's one of the best fishing platforms I've ever used .
Have fished Champlain several times and very impressed with how it handles rough conditions. Made my own Downrigger mounts and has numerous rod holders. Plenty of open space for everyone to fish. I also have the wind enclosure for the cold and rainy .

That looks like the same rig I was on ......I guess was just a little longer. You are right Matt, six could fish comfortably and.......plenty of room for the grill. I bet I will be invited back on and will get some pics. Great platform.
