Looks like the state is attempting to get us more fishing access.
Too bad those ramp accesses they tried to get bids for last year or 2 to get cleaned out etc and build launch docks never got any real traction from bidders.
Same for launch access at Winooski,at least they got an engineering firm onboard to assess cleaning the slit out of that launch.

At least they're trying...

Description The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department is seeking to establish agreements with one or more companies that can layout and construct recreational boardwalks to provide access to Vermont`s waterways across the state. Firms should have specialized experience in outdoor recreation and trail construction, and can demonstrated experience to perform the worked outlined in this RFP. Contractor(s) shall be responsible for site assessments, properly locating boardwalks, testing and installing helical piles, and constructing the boardwalk. Prospective contractors must have a general knowledge of river geomorphology, engineering principles (a licensed professional engineer is not required for this RFP), and experience constructing recreational infrastructure in or along waterways. Projects will be completed on property that is currently owned by the State and may experience extreme fluctuations in water levels, may be susceptible to erosion, and experience high levels of use. Finally, the Department has funding for constructing 2 boardwalks this calendar year. Each structure is approximately 150 ft in length.
