R.i.p. Kevin Collins.(aka Dragnballs)

Post by will nolan (swilly) »

To those who don't know, it's with a heavy heart, According to his daughter calling to inform me yesterday.. Kevin passed away from a heart attack 230pm on Jan 14th 2022 collecting firewood. He died instantly. Very sad day. He was a good friend of mine and we shared many fishing stories and trips together. I will miss our striper trip this year. R.I.P brother

This is very sad. I was glad to talk to Kevin and Pam at the shoot-out BBQ afterwards. He loved to fish and some great memories having him aboard my boat with Pam. Life is brief at times like this. RIP Kevin.

I didn't know him but anyone in this community inherits a connection with ALL other members when they join, especially given the passion we all have for the sport. I wish the best for his family and for those of you who were close to him, my thoughts are with you asked well.
Rest well Sir. You obviously had a big impact on so many.

I’m sad to hear this.
I enjoyed his company a few times.

Although we never hit the salmon together in the same boat he was always great to be about. I got some good tips from him occasionally.

He will be missed. Saddened for his family especially

Such sad news. Kevin, Pat (4C’s), and I fished Shoot Out #2 together. I’ll always remember the hurt we put on the salmon and Browns trolling the green bling that day. A lot about fishing has to do with great people we meet and spend time with along the way. Kevin was one of those. My heart goes out to his family. He will be missed.

Man, another great LCU guy lost.

My boys and I only shared the water with team Draggnballs a couple of times (that we knew about), the most recent being the 2021 frostbite shootout. Kevin, "Mr. Dragnballs" as Pam described him to us over the radio, caught a big Laker right in front of us in Whallon bay that day.

What struck me the most about that team, was that it was Him and Her. That's a rare and special thing.

Here they are.

With such a sudden passing like what sounds like happened here, people often have regrets about not spending enough time together, or regret choices about their own spare time spent. Just based on what little I know about this family, I hope Pam knows that they didn't waste any from my perspective.

Rest Easy Mr. Draggnballs.
