The 2021 Frostbite Shootout is Back
After a 2019 Covid break we were able to again assemble as "The Fleet" and kick off the Season of fun about to unfold this year. We caught some rather nice fish up and down the lake this year. The hatchery reports of the quality of fish point out the ongoing success of the Lamprey Program. It was really Great to see the everyone out enjoying a day of fishing together.
A Big Thanks To Point Bay for hosting us again. Bill Lowell, Al Morehouse for manning Weights & Measures Ron Winter as Secretary Keeper of Records and Videographer of the Days Event. They make a wonderful Team. Thanks to all that attended and provided fine food to share.
The weather was beautiful and thanks to everyone for coming to and making the Barbecue such a delicious success. It is Great to break bread, laugh it up sharing stories with new and old acquaintances. It truly is a life event highlight of the year. Thank You for sharing the day.
First order of business is to announce the induction of two of our members to the Rank of Honorary Admiral of the Fleet.
Jim Martino "Tamiron" and Matt Glebus "Fishy1"
Both these people exemplify what good people and great fishermen are about. The sharing of their wealth of knowledge to anyone promoting success to other fishermen in our beloved sport cannot be expressed in thanks owed. The contributions of posts on this website are available to any and all to go out and make it a "Good" day. From Myself and everyone here we say
Thank You!
On to the report of the day:
It was a beautiful day for sure and after the morning fishing at the weigh-in we had one fish on the board and scale ....so much for drama. We have a 2021 Frostbite Fleet Shootout Winner!
