Hey all looking to possibly launch at converse Saturday for the shootout. Anyone been there recently? I’m trying to launch my 19ft islander I/o just want to make sure there’s enough water. Thanks for any response and hope to see/meet a lot of you at the shootout!

There isn’t much in Converse. I think my boat registered 1.8fow when I launched Sat… Thank god for aluminum out boards:)

Water is warm enough to get
Out and push so the fleet should be fine:)

Fish on!

My favorite launch. The state of Vermont calls it "Fort Cassin" if you have to look for it on a map. Plenty of depth there any time of year.

I'd suggest 2 things If you do though.

1. Launch in the gravel to the west of the concrete ramp, big bad ledge to fall off of if you back in too deep. It is wicked bumpy right now since the archaeological dig guys didn't fix it, which sucks, but, still better than getting stuck if your trailer can't handle a drop-off.

2. Hug the point to the north at the mouth, if you stray too far south, it gets real shallow. Always 8-12 feet in the shallowest part of the channel.
