Identification help needed
Any idea what this is and how to use it? It's a Cannon product.

It looks like it is for using a rubber band as a release. Not sure if that is supposed to be a free slider on the downrigger cable, with the line held by a rubber band? Or even as a planer board release? Or you could clip it to the downrigger ball, too, I guess. I haven't seen a release like that but it looks like the same principle as the Big Jon Band Buster release :

If you can figure out how to use it, I'll bet it would work good when the fresh stockies get hungry! The rubber band will help telegraph the fact that there is a fish on.
Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback. You may be on to something there. I've been scratching my old bald head for a few days now thinking about the proper use for it.
See you on the pond!

Hey Shake-n-Bake ... I see you are from Lake Luzerne. Do you know Ray and Brenda Hoffman, by any chance? They are friends of ours.
