Fishy1 roTary report

Post by fishy1 »

We had some bright spots and some not so bright spots. We caught Lakers fishing with smelt. I lost a beast 15 lbs plus thanks to not paying attention when threading on my smelt.we had anchor problems in the 63 fow and motor problems on idle and starting up. And even got caught in a thunder storm and had to call it day. The good news is I fished in a boat for 2 days ist time in 2 years. The real good news is I hooked into a smelt jigging stick relic and a broken one with sinkers and hooks attached. Ended the rotary with a very fine lunch brought down by Justin a friend.

Sounds like you had a great time, Matt! Congrats. That laker you're holding looks pretty big. What did it weigh?

Glad you were able to boat fish, too, Matt. That's great news!

We guessed 10 lbs don't really know 29 inches. Sure was good to get back in a boat.

I can't tell you how many hours I spend off of the water trying to avoid those "not so bright spots" with the mechanical portions of the fishing program. Espescially with kids on board. Lots of guys like me are running other guy's old stuff they don't want to mess with anymore. But it's all part of it isn't it. Glad you got out on the water Fishy1, there's nothing quite like it.
