Most probably know this but i noticed my jointed Rapalas had a lot more action with just a snap at the lure and the swivel up wher my 6 ft leader connected to mono. Caught some lakers yesterday and my lure rigged that way was the hot one for the day.

Less at the lure is frequently more. Even on my cheaters, I run the swivel at the line clip. I thought this was normal until Reelax was surprised. Nothing like teaching an old dog new tricks!
