Fun in sunny Keeler’s Bay...

Launched around 7am at apple island behind Digitroll and FishDawg.... Had Dreamcatcher and Lightandvariable Aboard for a fun day on the inland sea... The best part was we didn’t have to deal with any lakers... ;)

Water temp was around 38.5 and warmed thru the morning. We found the best bite in 8-12 fow and hugged shore and dodged moorings all morning. After a little while Brodie, Liam and Jack came around the bend and joined the fleet in the Country angler... Good to see Crawfish and perchbait troll by in early afternoon. Many boats out today and looks like some nice salmon boated. :D

While setting up we got into action right off on the 2nd rod I was setting a salmon hit it before I could get the magic 117ft off the real... :o

I started that fight as Jeff jumped on the 1st rod we had set as it was throbing like a tooth that needs pulling... :?

As we both were laughing at the start a 3rd rod fired and we were in a frenzy... Ken has to real one in from the helm!

What a start.. best stick for us today was a 2.5” Yozuri pins minnow with purple top and pink bottom. The blue and silver challengers also fired well.. as did the purple and silver yozuris..

By 930 our counter was at 9 and the morning seemed to be a success, so we lit the grill...

1st up were homemade cinnamon rolls followed by hot dogs and finishing around 2pm with Italian sausage... No reason to go home hungry

All in all the weather was great and the traffic manageable... can’t wait for the next float, cause they sure are hungry...

Thanks for the laughs Jeff and Ken.. not sure I have ever seen someone land a salmon from the driver seat, but you got it done today Ken!

Fish on!

Nother skunkity wunk for us, haha. I think we forgot how to fish. On the other hand, the boys forgot to bring pennies again to bounce off of the downriggers. They tried melon rhinds, but, that obviously didn't work.

But we got to participate in a small marine parade today, with a bunch of other friendly fisherman, doing circles in Keeler bay.

Ron, you must have been one of the boats out there, but, we didn't recognize you. Seems to be a lot of black and gray aluminum fishing boats around these days.

Fun as always Matt to have fishing buddies out on the water and over the VHF radio.

Any ideas as to what this was on the sidescan?

And finally, I would like to thank a "Surprise" visitor to our house the other day, who dropped off these.

I don't know if Liam has taken his off since the delivery. Been wearing it at home, school, and out fishing today. Awful nice of you Randy, it meant a lot to them.

Sorry to hijack your thread again Matt, but, I didn't know as it was worth us doing our own this week. 0/0. Strike Three is coming out of hibernation next week.
