well, the snow has finally stopped and i have finally got all my driveways cleaned up,so i can sit at the computer for a couple minutes!!!we hit mexico last thursday and friday/1-14 and 1-15.thursday was a beautiful day on the lake, pretty much dead calm and fairly mild.it started off slow, but after finding the warmer green water,it was game on!!!!numerous doubles and triples and one quad.when it was all over we were somewhere around 50 fish boated and probably dropped around a dozen.mostly smaller fish, few in the 5-8lb range.spoons on the riggers and dipseys were on fire, but we had plenty of action on cores with spoons and sticks on the flatlines.20-30 fow is where the fish were.friday was supposed to be blowing pretty hard out of the se,so we planned on staying close to the launch, well after 3 hours with no bites and still no wind,we had trolled our way to where we were on thursday and the fish were still there,we got into them for a short period of time, but the wind finally decided to show up,so we had to quickly pick up and pound our way back to the launch,we wound up with a dozen or so in about an hour.got back home friday afternoon and pressure washed the boat, put it away and got the plow on and plowed snow for the next 7 days!!!!!!cant wait for the next trip, but its gonna be tough to fins an open launch now.
