Went on a fishing trip last week with friend WalleyAndre.
3-hour car ride north of Montreal, then 1 hour flight on a beaver.
Pretty wild territory, welcome wagon composed of thousands of hungry mosquitos and black flies.
It was HOT HOT HOT, almost no clouds, but we managed some good times on the water.
We caught nice walleyes and some fighting pikes.

We also saw a lot of wild life, including these majestic specimens.

Wow, beautiful photo with the moose, and nice pike ! I'm surprised it gets that HOT way up north, but it's been 90+ on land here in northern VT for days... Lake Champlain is good swimming temperature already !

My brother and myself went on a fly in fishing trip in Canada for years including a winter ice fishing adventure. But the mosquitos can eat you alive at times.

Apart from the mosquitos and black flies, we had an epic time. All week temp were in the mid 90's during the day. Fishing was mostly done mornings and evenings, too hot to be on water on afternoons. One evening, even with one rod each, we couldn't keep up with the catches. Walleyes were biting nonstop almost as soon as the crankbait hit the water. I used the same Hot'N Tot crankbait all week... there was no paint left on it by Friday evening.
