An Old Fisherman Has Made His Final Cast

Last night, an old gentleman fisherman, went on to cast in the waters in Heaven. For many years, he could be seen sitting on his floating dock just above the dam in Swanton. He caught many perch, bass, bullhead, pike and eels. He didn't care as long as it bit. He never really cared much for boats, but would go with me from time to time. Always had good luck with him in the boat.
On Momday, I'll say goodbye for the last time. He was 95, raised 8 kids and was married for 70 years.
Oh yeah, the best part is that I had the honor to call him my DAD.
Well Pops, you've got the river all to yourself, now. I expect some good stories next time we meet.
Your loving Son,
Fred

He will keep track of you and you can talk to him anytime now.
Hope we don't loose or forget all their traditions and skills. We are the ones left to get the future generations enjoying our sport.

Fred,
His soul will always be around you. Nice memories never go away.
Every fish you'll catch will trigger more than a fish line, it will revive those great times you spent with your Dad.

Fred,
It was wonderful to have had those memories and have had someone like him instill the love of the outdoors. It certainly seems as though you loved him very much. Loving memories live forever in our hearts.

Thanks for all the kind words and support. I'll be at the workshop tonight. It'll be good to get away for a few hours and I couldn't think of a better group to spend it with.
Thanks again,
Fred
