Heading over to Lake Ontario this Saturday for a week. Anyone have any reports? Will be staying at Selkirk State park. Fishing out of the Salmon River. Any info is appreciated.

Thanks

Try sending Digitroll a PM, he usually keeps an eye on the big-O bite. A PM will most likely get to his email to get his attention.

fishing has been good this year, lots of fish around.really not any specific reports right now, getting fish from 20 to 160 fow this past weekend.good pod of fish from the plant to oswego and from the big river to the dunes.if you are fishing from 100 fow and in,fish close to bottom,if out deeper keep something close to bottom, but have some baits higher, lots of cohos around this year!!!!!!this past saturday, didnt feel like dealing with combat fishing,so we set up in 200 fow and trolled out to 500 fow and back in and went 7 for 11.kings from 3 to 10 lbs and some nice steel in the 10 lb range.

When the kings are staging and hugging bottom, what's the preferred probe speed? Using FF or meat? Can't seem to nail it. Plenty of fish off the plant sat and Sunday but not many takers. Something not quite right. Using Fishhawk X4D. Appreciate any help!

There was a real strong west to east current from 90-120 down On my fishhawk I tried to maintain 2.4-2.7 but I would also try to average with my depthraider even though it was only down 35 because we had 50 down 30 last week but the winds this week blew that out tomorrow should be an interesting day

Flasher fly combos beat all the spoons this weekend, and J Plugs are a must, 80 to 130 fow, fish the marks, around 2.5 mph, for Kings the power plant was like shooting fish in a barrel but only at first and last light - as usual this time of year. Around 5 or 6 pm the blank screens will fill with marks seemingly out of nowhere. Lots of big fish, and there maybe hundreds of boats in close if it's on the weekend - but surprisingly last weekend everyone seemed to behave reasonably well :) We only landed kings but I've heard there are lots of cohos around these days.

How'd you do, kman? You should have had a great week, weather-wise!

We had a great week! Caught mostly kings and a couple of browns. Kings were running small this year. Our biggest was only 22lbs. Got on the water every day. Never seen it so nice. All ours were caught on spoons and J plugs. Nothing on ff. Can't wait til next year!
