Dec 6 2012

Post by Crazy Ivan »

Launched of of converse at 615ish with Pat and had lines down in the dark at 630, one small salmon right off Buckwheat beach down 26 on a orange and silver speedy shiner.
Picked Digitrol up at the dock at 840 and headed back out, Stayed on the Vermont side till 1230 and called it a day. Two small lakers off of garden island was all we landed.
Tried just about every color at every place in the water column. Not much bait at all, even the big masses that are normally down deep were thin and sporadic.
I think the water is just to darn warn, still 47 48 is just crazy warm.

Thanks for the Intel while I was out there Todd. Things picked up a little in the afternoon. Went 4 for 7. Packed it in around 3:30. The fish were spread out with no heavy concentrations. Every release came from the down-rigger set at 51' on Sausage Gravy and Bloodshot (red and white). What a beautiful day, didn't want to leave.
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will go buy a boat.

Thanks Ron for the video. That is a nice looking boat. Lots of protection from the weather. It will start catching fish soon.

Nice Ride!

Fitted out with a couple Torpedo Tubes, Depth Charge racks and a 50 cal on deck you could go on a "HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER"

Maybe stir up a few fish too!

See you soon Gott'a Work Monday then I'm on Judd's schedule ....only days that end in Y.
