10/10 2016 after walking out of a trout pond today i set after my 2016 fall turkey. i wanted a good size hen as i
do every fall and today i scored. i have been passing up many hens because i couldnt get a clean shot or i wasnt satisfied with the size

almost ready to cook.
today as i was walking out of the trout pond i heard gobbling so i either broke up the flock or someone else. had a way to go to the car and get my shotgun but did and went back into the woods. got back and didnt hear any gobbling so i let out a couple of hoots and soon after i heard on about 50 yards away so i got behind a tree and waited . finally i saw movement down near a stream and in the thickets. then another gobble and a other. looked to my far right and saw what would be a decent hen to take. she was in the thickets so i wanted to make sure i shot her not another. about 10 minutes later she walked out and all i could see was the head and neck and the tail and she was about 25 yards so i shot and she fluttered but ran off and me giving chase. about 50 yards later i finally caught up with her and got her. a real nice hen.
here is a pic.
