Well, apparently its good luck for my nephew for me to be out salmon fishing on the opening morning of youth hunting! For the second year in a row, I left the bbq to head to our deer camp, and pulled into the yard to find one already hanging on the meat pole. This year, it was a fat little 105 lb 5 pt! He shot it around 11 am, just a couple hundred yards from where he filled his tag last year. Youth hunting is such a great thing, gets the youngsters out there, and gives them a chance to take an animal with their friends and family. I dont know which was more excited, my nephew, or my brother!
