I know it was awhile ago but none the less, went back to Maine to work on my camp and do a little fishing. Stopped by the inlaw's camp for a couple nights and did some perch fishing. After tying the boats together on a hot perch hole Ab gets a bite with a small perch. No one is paying attention, due to the eagles flying over head, the dogs getting wound up, and perch of our own, when her rod bends over and she pulls up this:
The bass hit the perch on the way up from 60 feet. The perch finned out and caught the bass in the gills. Nothing better than a two for one special on Meddybemps lake.

Re: Labor day catch
Cool.
I once caught a perch that in turn caught a northern. Two for one special, Kawkawlin River, Michigan.
