Last fall, when I took my wife fishing during a weekend, I was handling the rods and my wife was "driving" the boat. On both days, she felt asleep at the helm. That was the trigger to get the autopilot :lol: :lol:

That used to happen every year on my family trip to Lake Huron. My 80 year old father-in-law driving my brother-in-law's 20 ft Starcraft fell asleep every outing at the wheel. Maybe it was the slow fishing we see almost every year there. :)

Great read, Gerry! Loved hearing the story of success at a time of year where fishing the lake is so slow. Handling an 'active' fish solo - good stuff, good challange, and good win.
