He fishing on in the Mexico bay area has slowed on the lake near shore. Offshore the fishing continues to be very good with next years crop of salmon n steelhead.
The big river after the recent rains and area tribs. Continues to be truly amazing . King salmon by the hundreds are entering the river everyday and the past 2 days the cohos have made a steady push up river. I have seen a few steelhead caught everyday, while the brown trout haven't made a showing as of yet.
Yesterday ( 9-19) south and north Sandies had salmon moving up river. Some of the smaller creeks had a few showing up as well.
Rain is forecast for Friday night into Saturday so fishing will continue to improve I expect. Even with the low base flow (185 cfs) the river is loaded.
The crowds have been light except for the weekends as expected, so if u can come mid week.
Ballpark ,81,paper mill, 2a have been very good, fish the faster runs for your best action. Mid day it slows a bit most days, Tuesday they moved pretty good in the overcast conditions all day .
Tight lines
