What do you lead core guys suggest for a knot connecting lead core to the small size swivels that will wind onto a reel?

Re: Lead Core to swivel knot.
slide the yarn back on the lead core to expose the lead center,,then cut the lead off so you have just a fabric line to deal with ,,,then you can use a polomar knot or other suitable knot to tie to the swivel

Michael - Here's another option. I have set up with the lead attached the swivel and then to a mono leader as fishingmachine describes. I was not happy with this as I felt the swivel wore on the rod guides. I now tie a 20 ft leader directly to the lead with back to back uni knots and attach a swivel to the leader and then a shorter, 5-6ft, leader from the swivel to the lure. Works fine and no need to bring the swivel through the rod guides. It's really a matter of personal preference.

Re: Lead Core to swivel knot.
I tie about 50ft of mono to the lead. Then swivel and leader.
I choose to use this much mono so that it acts is a "shock absorber" as lead doesn't have any stretch.

Catch and serve with lemon.

Jerry,
Good idea. I'll add that to my set up tomorrow.

Very similar to what I have done, except I slid the end of a 25' length of 20# clear mono inside the hollow Dacron sheath and tied a double-overhand knot right where the mono was inside the Dacron. Then the little tiny swivel gets tied to that with a palomar and 6'+/- of 14# Seaguar Red Label fluorocarbon leader trails it up.voyager wrote:Michael - Here's another option. Gosh...I've tried that, but my old eyes (and lack of patients) won't let me get the mono down the dacron sheath.Wallyandre (Andre) wrote:http://youtu.be/ge0VCeJOdc4
