new battery???

Post by swallowmypride »

Apparently I have to purchase a new battery for the boat, any suggestions that will not cost me an arm or a leg? :o

Also has anyone invested in solar power chargers? :)

I go to Interstate batteries in Williston and ask for their economy batteries. They are returns that have been checked out and deemed good. I have been doing this for years without any problems. I think they still have a 12 month warrantee. The last one I picked up for my truck was $50. and it was the highest cranking amps they had.

X2 go pick up an interstate. I got two last year for 35.00 each for the eco marine batteries.

After using Minn Kota (Trojan), Interstate, and Walmart it's Interstate hands down.

I currently run 2 of their Marine Pro batteries and couldn't be happier. They get charged right when I come off the water and hold a charge well. I use a regular Interstate cranking battery for the outboard.

A quality Minn Kota on board charger will really extend the life of ANY brand battery.

I wouldn't skip on the money for your power source on the water...

thanks for the input all and trust me this is something I am not skimping on. I will buy cheap shoes, but not fishing equipment... Call me a crazy chic but I do have priorities.
