Thanks Fishdawg

Post by Dockside »

Just wanted to thank Fishdawg for a great gift he gave me the other day. He walked in with an old downrigger rod that had my boat's name and a pretty cool picture of a Kodiak bear on it. I have made sure its in my list of favorite rods for sure.

Most important is what it says under the word Kodiak.......

Steve's a great guy no doubt. A very thoughtful gift.
I wonder if he's got one that says Razzle Dazzle? Or Raz would do! 8-)

Made in the USA...I was going to mention that in another thread about a product NOT made in the USA but I didn't. I don't know why, but I'll mention it here. Sampo swivels are made in the USA!
Catch and serve with lemon.

I had to hear about this rod all night last pm! It is a super nasty rig!

Thanks Guys! My brother in law had found this old rod several years ago and when holding it, it felt real good (pretty light with some good play and a long fine corked handle). At some point he broke about 2-3 inches off the tip and was going to sell it at a yard sale. I traded him a new boat paddle for it and replaced the rod tip. It still feels good to hold and will make a real nice "classic" trolling rod. With the rod name matching the name of Ben's boat it was good Karma to give it to Ben. I hope it becomes his "lucky" rig when fishing aboard the KODIAK. FISH ON!
