Spent the weekend on a turkey hunt and a couple of runs to Converse with Baby Shay. It was her first hunt ever and we saw lots of action. Our son got a turkey in his blind a couple hundred yards away.
Lot's of Lakers, two salmon. Couple of fat Lakers. Hooked many of them- boy does the reel ever scream when that happens. I'm guessing that they abandoned their strike and got bit by the fly! Of course I run dodgers which makes those flies pretty lively. I hooked one that went about 8 lb, the bigger one got away at the boat. I worked the bigger one for at least 20 minutes.
The salmon were average size.
Everything caught on black ghosts - with different color variations. On boards, lead core, and riggers.
