Fished Friday and Saturday out of Anchor Marina with a 2 boat crew.
Friday: Trolled East to Green Can West of Oswego and back, clear water in tight was not productive for us so we gradually moved out to the 50 ft line and started taking fish 31 down on the riggers and 3-5 colors of leadcore. Michigan Stinger Black Widow, Alewife and Savant Jake Alewife seemed to be the preferred colors. Our boat landed quality Browns and put one king around 15 pounds in the boat. A couple of screamers came unbuttoned also. While one of the crew was fighting a nice fish on leadcore a monster Brown exploded on a spoon trailing just behind the boat (Mark was just attempting to send it down on a rigger), we ended up landing that Brown which weighed in unofficially between 15-16 pounds, we lost the fish on the leadcore but not before we got a look at it, appeared to be about the same size as the one we landed! The other crew landed quality Browns, 2 fat Lakers, 1 king around 12 pounds and 1 Steelhead. Overall just a fantastic day on the water.
Saturday: The pond punished us! Wind, waves, rain and cold! The other crew did not finish setting up before calling it a day, they had a serious chum problem! We trolled thru one of my old waypoints and game on! We made 12 passes through 2 waypoints about three hundred yards apart landing a Brown, King or Laker on each pass! Kings were 14/16 and 19 pounds! Every hit was on the East troll, not a nibble on the West troll. Went back in around noon for food and fuel back out at 4, same weather. One of our crew went with the other boat to help out, both boats landed nice Browns and lost a couple screamers. The evening troll was a West bite only for us, go figure!
Another great time with friends on the Big O!
Pictures to follow.
Here are a few photos. The big Brown was 30 inches long with a 20.5 - 21 inch girth. Going to the taxidermist this week. Weather permitting Lake Ontario is the place to be. Sounds like all the ports are on fire.

That was a great tour Eric Great choice mounting that brown it was a monster!
16lbs. Wow. You have me sold on that black widow, it seems that that stinger pattern is consistent in any body of water we fish on.
