New York side docks?

Has anyone seen any of the docks being put in at the NY side boat launches?
I fished out of Port Henry this past weekend and no docks. My 5' 2" wife was not very happy with trying to get in or out of the boat from the sea wall, she needed a pair of wings or water shoes.
I am probably going to launch at Westport this week and hoping NY gets their work crew of inmates and puts in the docks as it will make launching easy.

Sorry to hear this fishingeagle, is port Henry a state launch or Municipal launch. The reason I ask is all the docks at launches in my neck of the woods are in. I would call the governing body and find out what the schedule to have them put in is. It's to bad they are not up to speed with the weather. I wish there was a website to check on conditions of launches.

I am back up to camp in Crown Point and checked some launches. Docks are in at South Bay down in Whitehall... not that does me any good. Nothing up on the lake. We checked out Port Henry & Westport today and no docks. Westport would be near impossible for me to launch as I would need a ladder to get from sea wall into the boat or out of the boat and the water level is real low. I would need to tilt my engine up too much to have any control, especially in any wind that I be looking at an easy way to damage my boat.
I think I will go fish Lake George tomorrow and unless they decide to put in some docks, I need to reconsider where I am launching for the DYP. I think I will have to cross the bridge and launch from the VT side. I am open to suggestions to where is best.
Frank they are all NY state launches and why it is always a issue to get the docks in around this area is a good question.

I'm not sure if they are put in by parks & recreation or DEC. DEC in this my area has hired some of there part time summer help already. The state workforce has been cut so much in certain area's it may take longer to get things done. Sorry hear this Walt.

DEC is responsible for putting in the docks and they usually use work crews of inmates from the local state correctional facilities.
I did fish Lake George today and those docks are not in neither but it is easy to launch there. Sharon & I had a lovely dinner of fresh Lake Trout this evening.

It sounds like you got the skunk out the boat anyway. If I remember correctly they ususally didn't put the docks in at TI until after May 1st.

Port Douglas launch has docks in the water. We launched there two weeks ago. Hope this helps.

Hey Walt, similar situation here in the NY North Country. No docks at the St. Lawrence launch sites either.
