Back from Fair Haven

Post by Wallyandre (Andre) »

We start fishing on Friday afternoon starting west, caught one and it was quiet so we head east and caught a few fish.
Saturday it was rough all morning but by 2 O'clock we had to come out at around 2.30
Sunday was a splendid day, just enough wind until 3.30 when it become calm (too calm). We manage to caught 11 fish on Sunday.
All together we put 21 browns in the box.
We fish over 8 to 10 ft. Longline (120+) and on the rigger 5ft. down 80 ft. back.
We didn't get any sizes but it was a blast with my friends and my brother.
A orange-gold Rapala and a clown Rapala were the 2 by far most productive lures.

Nice to see you guys had a good time on the big O.
Great pictures and the size of the fish are very respectful.
Very nice looking Wellcraft.

Great pics Andre. Those bluffs sure look familiar. We are heading over in a couple days, and it looks like the long term forecast is not in our favor...offshore wind, and calm seas...did you stay in the skinny water or did you poke around deeper at all?
