4/6 triple whammy

Post by FishStalker »

I Started the day putting in at the Coastguard station around 9:30 am. The wind didn't seen half bad until i cruised just outside of the breakwater. As i rounded appletree point i was hitting 3 footers... I didn't think it would be too fun getting beat up by a North West wind so i decided to head into the river to soak up some sunshine and hope for the wind to calm down... I hooked up the kicker motor threw out a couple small crankbaitsand started trolling up the river. I grabed a slice of cold pizza from my bag and kicked back. THEN BAM... the port side rod doubles over... nice fish on... to my suprise... a nice 28 1/2" walleye. I snapped a quick picture of her and tossed her back in so she can finish her travel upstream. I ended the day catching 3 species. Walleye, Smallmouth, and Lakers. The wind was a bit much but the fish were biting, so i guess it wasn't half bad.

Very nice Ben... Was that pig-eye the 1st fish in your new boat? That would be an omen... Thanks for the looks.

It wasnt the first fish in the new boat unfortunately. It would have been awesome if the first fish was an eye though... The first fish title belongs to an IS salmon...ohh well

Looks like a great day to me. Have fun on the new boat.
