Shelburne Bay 3-21-

Post by Hawkeye »

First run for the Hawkeye today, could not hit the water until 1pm, Ran down to Shelburne checked Oakledge Red Rocks and then ran down to Allen Pt. Nothing on the chart. We found warm water in the back end of the bay and trolled up past the old oil dolphins to Queen City park. Had one hit (stick bait long line) but dropped it .... surface water temps 53-54 degrees over 20fow. Saw fish in the canyon between Red Rocks and Shelburne point starting at 65 ft on down but needed to head back in(probably our friendly Cisco). So much for my early program in Shelburne Bay. Still it was a great afternoon on the water and everything worked 100% for our first run.

Think I may have seen you out there. I was out for a family cruise after my shakedown this weekend. Picked up my daughter at her school, then the family headed out to shelburne bay. Of course, I dropped a couple riggers down, trolled for an hour and a half or so, nothing. But today was a fun summer cruise on the Bay!

Good to hear you got out.
