What a crazy and SHORT ice fishing season this winter. Despite the late start and early finish I have to admit it was a great one. I have never entered a derby before this year. Entered the Bomoseen Derby and we took 3rd place and then the Great Benson but did not place although we iced several Pike just over 10 pounds. I am a total amateur on Pike fishing and have only been working on figuring out some of the methods and tricks to it for about 3 seasons and still have much to learn but enjoying the process!

Now it is time to get Camoboat ready for softwater. Going to fish the LCI for the first time ever this year, even went so far as to take a week off work and rented a camp on Keelers Bay for the whole week!! Looking forward to it!!
