Does anyone know if the Crown Point Bridge boat launch is usable ? I heard a rumor they were going to redo the launch after the bridge was complete. Looking at making a trip up there the end of the week.

Thanks for any info.

Jim

i was by there this weekend and saw the construction crew using the ramp, however, it didn't look like it was ready for public use,,Port henry ramp is good to go and I would reccommend you use that one ..it's a lot better facility, although the floating docks are not in yet,it was still easy to launch my 18 footer

It would have been better to just install a ramp at the ferry docks they are done using. The ramp under the bridge is super shallow and the wind there is aweful. Around the couner, in the bay, they could install a "world class" ramp with ample parking. But, who am I kidding, the decision makers don't want "world class" anything in VT.

why do you think the FLW and BASS boys go to Plattsburgh to have tounaments, you don't think the powers that be in Vt. wanted those beer swillin southerners up here on this side do you? besides, where was the 3 or 4 million to build the facilities going to come from? So now when those bass boys come here and fish 2 or 3 times a year, they dump 2 or 3 million in New York each time instead of in Vermont. Hell,we don't need the money, certainly not for a lousy fishin ramp."Course, its OK to spend 3 million on a bike path,we love tree huggers... thanks for lettin me rant
