Got the boat in the water for her shakedown today, everything (that mattered) worked great. On the water around 7:15 or so, 2 fish right off, then nothing the rest of the day, off by 2:30 or so.
Fished the skinny water:
We found water temps from 34 to 42. This one will taste good:
Joe (Tiny) will fill in the details on which lures caught our 2 fish. We tried the riggers, but water was too shallow where we were fishing, so we ended up just running the boards.
Great March day to be out on Champlain.

Nice...the sea will give up plenty of fish from here on out.
I saw you on the Interstate Mike, we went by you and I gave you the peace sign from the passenger side of Cathy's rig.
Glad you got the first ice out Landlocked that I've heard of.
Nice chunky fish.

Thanks again for having me on board Mike. Great action for the first 30 minutes and then we had a lovely cruise on a sunny day. It was fun fishing such shallow water. Both salmon came on Yo zuri pin minnows, small one was caught on a blue tiger, the bigger fish (21.5") went for the brown trout pattern.

Looks like you had a good day on the water...I loved fishing yo-zuri's in the Fall! Got one of my 27" steelhead on one...they're more expensive then Rapala's but worth it. Did you end up bringing back that skein from AK? I forgot all about it, let me know and I can try to find a way to pick it up!

Great job! Was a fantastic day to be out for sure. See you on the water!

Gerry -I didn't see you. Should have really flagged me down and asked to head out with us! I know of at least 1 other caught up there, I'm sure there were a few others.

Mike,
Good shake down last weekend! Nice to see more and more boats unwrapped and put in the water. Making up for last years late start for everyone.
It's going to be a great year for the Inland Sea!
