I forgot how high and muddy the winooski was from the overnight heavy rains from Thursday. I know someone going up to Sterling Pond up in the notch to fish brookies today.

Is the wave as big on the inland sea ?
Is is about the same as the bigger portion of the lake ?

"Usually" the waves and bumps on the Sea are not as bad as the main lake...but a hard North makes the Sea conditions tough to fish in.

Experience kicking In i guess. I have a marine radio at the campground for lake waves forecast ... But ain't working at home (Montréal) ..
Anyone has a web link for the lake forecast, wake wise ?

Too much of wind, waves and rain for me. Stayed on "dry" land. Went shopping for a couple of items for fly fishing. Couldn't believe the traffic. It would've been better on the lake. I was also surprised to see downrigger items at Classic Outfitters. It's been years since I've been in the place. I picked up a Blacks release for $8.95. It seemed weird to buy a release, fly line leader and a few streamers at the same store. Thinking of trying my flyrod from the boat when the salmon come to the top. That'll be a rush.

I am still discovering the lake... Went halfway & turned around. 3 feet wave plus.. It's a no go ... Hope it will be better tomorrow.

Dan, I was at my campsite this afternoon to do some works and I was looking at the main lake and the waves where more then 4 ft for a certain time then after they look like 2-3 but more foggy.
Absolutly a time to say out on ground.

Got that right Andre. This is all new to me. First year on the lake. First year with this boat. Nothing like experiencing to gain expérience. Of course i really appreciate all of you ... Very generous in your advice, comment and help. Once again ... Tks.
