Gerry you might be having a problem with Flash if you have a 64 bit computer as Flash doesn't have a 64 bit version but they do have a beta version on trial right now.

Nice job with the video, had heard lots of talk about them, nice to see how it works.

Mike,

The TD unit comes with a Alberta Clipper (no pinch pad) and just clips on easy breezy! No worries about it coming off.

Even tho the TD comes with an Elberta Clipper, I also put a second safety line on it made of a short length of mono and swivels.

It might be a little over cautious... but today I was out fishing and one time I thought I clasped the slider onto my DR cable and then I went to secure the safety clip... and guess what? The slider was not on the cable. Luckily I still had a good grip on the TD and safety clip too.

Seeing my TD sinking to the bottom would have brought tears to my eyes and not so nice words out of my mouth.

Ludo,

Nice job with the Youtube conversion from Photo bucket. Much better to see it now rather than a link.

Cool!

How did you do this? I would like to do the same with the my fishing report video. May make a good thread in the how to section.

Thanks,

Ron

Ron,

I have found a way to download the file, and re-upload it to Youtube.

You should create a youtube account, and upload directly at this service, videos should be in a better quality

thanks Ron for a great vid. I got a TD Thinking it would replace spending the money on the X4 . From recent post from other champlain fisherman made me feel like speed is so crucial which makes since. So I will have to save the pennies for the x4.
My question to you is what do you think the offset of depth when trying to calculate lead core. My leader from the leadcore is about 50 ft . I put the TD right above the lure, Should I put it at the end of the first color??
Thanks
Bill

Bill,

The X-4 with temp and speed is one of those "must have items". I replaced a ray jeff command control wire less probe that was 27 years old in the boat. "It still works! But the parts / probe are no longer available as they haven't made one in 20 years. The new technology is breath taking with the X-4 system and it has many happy customers.

Speed is crucial at the probe! Temp. is nice.

You can hook it at the lure or on the mono before the first color. No difference. There will be a slight offset of depth as the TD is under 2 oz. and it will add a little to your depth when attached.

Good luck!

Ron
