The fillet table is being made. We dialed in a plan and location yesterday. The beads will be back before the next trip. I just needed a little more hardware. How could we fish without the beads!

Congrats Thorny! You'll be warm and dry in that rig for sure. When the lake locks up you can take her over to ME and haul pots. :D

Just curious on two points:

1. Aren't you supposed to break the champain bottle against the hull, rather than pouring a libation onto the bow?

2. Those C-Hawk side decks look wicked narrow, plus have obstructions, too. Is going foward to lift the anchor in even
a moderate chop something the non-athlete could do safely?

3. (okay, I said 2 points, but I often lie): Any plans for cabin heat, like a propane Mr. Buddy?

Hi Karl
We dd not want to break glass in the boat launch. Cathy gave the botte a good shake and gave the boat and myself a good spray. She then handed me the bottle so I could finish the job and have a drink. We also had a second bottle to consume in celebration.
The deck is 8 to 10 inches, far from what i would call "wicked narrow". I believe you would have a much easier time walking around these decks then most others. I do have net holders on the sides, but they are in tracks and are easily removed. If you hold on the the rails on the hardtop you can quite comfortably walk up either side without having to pass a physical. :D Anchoring will be no trouble at all. There is also a hatch window to access the bow
for anchoring or anything else.
Last year I walked around the decks of a 36 footer out in Lake Michigan to launch a set of 50 lb, 5 ft paner boards in 3 to 4 foot waves. I do not see these decks being a problem. :D
I do have a heater for the cabin when needed.

Not sure you will need a heater... With the size if the windows, I bet it will heat by the greenhouse effect!
