The presence of blue green algae has been confirmed in southern parts of Main Lake Champlain in the vicinity of Westport. Conditions and locations of blue green algae can change rapidly with wind, current, and sunshine. People are advised to remain vigilant and avoid water with distinct green coloring, scums, or other un-natural looking conditions. It is important to keep pets out of these areas too.
