Hey Mark - you're more than welcome to join me this year. My only plans so far is that I'll be there. While my boat may be a little bigger, it is by no means any better equipped. Probably less equipped, as I don't have a decent GPS unit, I have 2 downriggers just like you, although I'll be able to keep warm during the frost bite season by cranking up my downriggers by hand instead of flipping a switch!

Looking forward to some good fall fishing.

I know guys that fished out of Shelburne last year, and drove down after...

I did that the year before when I was limited to running my boat with little legs.

My new to me boat has bigger legs which should come in handy this year. :D

Will anybody fishing the Frostbite this year be launching out of the Westport launch? I have not fished the Frostbite in previous years but would really like to this year. I have really no experience fishing north of Split Rock and have never been in or out of Converse Bay. I would like to partner up with other boat crews if possible for the Frostbite for safety reasons or peace of mind.

Or are most people launching out of Converse?

I'm assuming that if I fish, I will just hop in the boat and go...

I'm going to have to sit this one out this year. Shoulder surgery in two weeks will put me out of service for a few months. If I can, I will try to come to the BBQ and drool over everyone else's fish. Best of luck to all the " Frostbiters " who brave the elements this year. I'll be with you in spirit..
