Frostbite fishing with Surprise 12/12/13

Post by digitroll (ron) »

Today I was the guest on Surprise's boat. 6" chop and 5 degrees at the ramp today at 9:00 am. Steam coming off the water and nice and warm in the enclosure on Randy's 18 ft Alumacraft. We made the rounds for a little over 3 hours and quit at 12:30 pm. Instigator joined us as the only other boat out today. Had 4-5 releases and boated one laker. Lost a better salmon near the end of our troll. It was just a beautiful day to get a float in and thanks Randy for a great time. Can't wait to try again next Thursday.

Thanks Reggie for sanding the ramp yesterday!

If you aren't out fishing, you won't catch any. Looked like a good day on the water from (unfortunately) the shore. I got a feeling that the next week or two will provide the best bite of the year. Way to go, guys!!

Hey Ron, Great day to ride and chat and Yuk it up with you, Reggie in his boat & the Admiral entertaining his Squeeze at home.... 8-)

Anyhow at least you got to feel the pull and a cozy day in the new canvas...riding around with the Navionics map on the Hummingbird.

Lowrance emailed and said my Elite 7 had been Fed Ex yesterday and the tracking said it was in Tennessee today. I'm more than pleased with their response in dealing with defective equipment. Received Monday and emailed time, Sent to be looked at Tuesday and emailed me that. Said it was to be replaced and emailed me a Fed Ex tracking # Last nite.
Now I hope it shows soon... :D

Thanks Ron and Randy for sharing your fun day with us. Very nice pics.
Water looks calm and nice, but I sure the temp was way down.
Very appetizing plate, we can almost smell the sweet aroma.
