Night bite

Post by FishStalker »

Went out last night and managed a few nice fish. The biggest one came on a gulp jig in 5 feet of water. The bite has been slow this summer but seems to be getting better every night. Tight lines

Thanks for the report. Eyes will hit in the daylight too. Picked up one 6.2 lbs Saturday at 1100AM. Calm and sunny. Trolling where the bottom drops sharply from a shelf to 40 ft plus. Three colors of lead core, jointed Rebels, 2.2. Along the drop off in 18 to 20ft. Picked up bass, perch and a few 30 inch Northerns for excitement as well. Figure the big fish hold in the deep water and cruise up for lunch. Used to catch noontime walleyes same spot over 20 years ago. Tried there again for something different and seems like a few are still there.

I do hope he would also share it with me. After-all I shared the brown I caught last Friday with him.
