Monday inland sea

Post by campfindit »

Launched out of Maquam shore. Lake was clearer than the prior weekend. Though not looking like cafe o lea there was quite a bit of algae bloom. Run off causing it? Maybe someone on here has the answer. Anyways back to the report. The pike bite was on. Two of us had a 20 fish day, biggest going #8. We kept some each for a good fry.

That's an awesome time there! Great catches. All I can say is ICE FISHING FEVER!!!! :D

ian't it something that Northerns will still hit those daredevils!,,when I was a kid my dad taught me how to catch those things on Otter creek in Florence 55 years ago. My favorite method was a bobber and a big shiner....they would hit so hard the bobber would go PLOP! Lotsa fun, I may have to try that again sometime soon
