2025 3 trip summary: Bar / Oak / Mexico

Post by Digitroll Fishing »

Struggle for 2025 but not horrible after being spoiled for the last number of years. 19 days fished 105 Salmon / Steelhead. Our first day of the season yielded our biggest Spring King in 25 years. 22 lbs. 1 oz. The salmon arrived 3 days after we left on our Mexico trip Sept. 9th just the luck of the draw.

Bar= 6 days 61 salmon (one Coho)
Oak= 8 days 33 salmon / Steelhead
Mexico= 5 days 11 salmon

Over 100 trips since 1982.. Time on water. 90% Great trips and 10% not so great. We have been fortunate! It's a team approach that helps a lot. Many boats or 2-3 boats sharing information. Mostly fishing in derbies. 99% of fish released.

It was a tough year for everyone Jason on the big puddle as a lot of charters switched to catching coho's up high May-June on the western end. Luckily for us we only caught one coho by accident on our Spring Bar trip. They called them skippers. We were fortunate to catch the fish we caught and fished alongside many friends on all three trips doing the divide and conquer thing!. Look forward to 2026! Good luck Jason!
