Teenager Bass Fishing Gift?

Post by TUnamas »

Bass aren't my game, but I have a friend who's kid is totally into it looking for a gift suggestion. My first thought was a digital scale. He has rods and reels and boxes of tackle. Others? Storm wear? Thoughts?

I got my son a year subscription to "Mystery Tackle Box" which came monthly and you can specify bass fishing. Each month they send lures/tackle that is appropriate to that time of the season. He looked forward to seeing what the items would be. Good for a kid/teen and doesn't break the bank.
Take a kid fishing!

EXCELLENT idea Shock therapy!! As a child my parents got me a subscription to Field and Stream and Outdoor life (which I maintained well into my 30’s) and I can remember checking the mail daily as the end of the month approached. Our children in this day and age should read more and if there are any writers anywhere near as creative and funny as Pat McManus he would surely be hooked! And of course the information contained within the magazine can be applied on the water and in the field 8-)

2nd Mystery Tackle Box. We bought my son annual subscriptions for several years and he now has practically a lifetime supply of lures!

I gave him a bass specific lure set (soft plastics included). A colorful box of lures and he loved it.
