First LCI derby experience in 31 years! Best weather in last 20 years!

The stars were aligned for us for weather! What started out as ok I will fish till Noon I told Ric on his boat to a full blown 28 hours of dedication due to the great weather up on the Sea! We knew down south it would be a zoo so we picked our battle up on the Sea with no fleas or slimers to deal with! We ended up with only 8 legal salmon for our effort but we had a weighable fish on day 2 that made it worth it and extended our effort trying. Blue Moons and Reverse Buzzy's by Crazy Ivan they were chewing! Some nice fish also were brought in up in the Sea to settle in the top ten by other boats! We tested the new electric Minn Kota trolling motor for a quiet experience all 3 days and the Live Scope by Garmin for the first time. It was amazing playing with the technology! Ric also had Smart Troll to follow his Lite Bite's in the water! Great return to fish in the LCI since 1994 when I fished the first 12 years of this event with my late dad.
