Northern waters

Greetings all, up in the islands this week on vacation.
Fished Isle Lamont to Cumberland head on Monday.
Mostly targeting salmon but chasing marks to 90’. NY side
to mooney bay then crossed to VT to ferry line. No salmon,
but landed 3 Lakers and lossed 3 at the prop wash. 2 native
7 and 3 #s and one stocked 7# . Headed for the smoker!
All were chunky and full of Ailwifes. Glad to hear that the
Westport bite is warming ! Trolling for northerns in the
wind protected bays waiting to get back on the big waters.

Actually very good. Make sure to check cow banks and in front of sandbar drop off. Also in Front of cedar island. Best to keep 100 fow under you to ensure bait. Bite has been 20-30 down. (Although I picked a 20” salmon off a bait ball 60 down the other day, it wasn’t a active set…)

Thanks for the advice , but I didn’t end up
going to the sea. Fished Cumberland waters again.
Should’ve gone to the sea, skunked! lol that’s fishing!
I don’t fish the derby, but I wish all the best of luck
