Hello!

Post by MAMU »

Hello!
I am a new forum member and just created an account. Honestly I have been reading this forum for many years and learned what I know about trolling from this very knowledgeable group and for that I am very thankful, what a great group! I have fished since I was a child, spin cast, shore, flyfishing, canoe, kayak, etc., one thing I enjoy on this page is you have a little of everything. I inherited my boat from my Uncle who brought it up to Champlain on fishing trips so I named it after the old Hank Williams song Me and My Uncle (MAMU). 1987 18’ Grumman center console 90 evinrude and 9.9 kicker. Hope it floats again this year! I live in Starksboro and launch out of Converse. I just retired (still working part time for fishing tackle : ). So again hello and thank you for the great information I have learned from! I have a lot of hobbies but trolling on Champlain has become a favorite!

Welcome aboard MAMU. The forum stays active from new members like you watching, reading, then joining in for the fun. The great thing is we will be holding the 14th annual draw you partner. (DYP) derby in early May and it is the BEST way to meet and fish with other trollers.

The boat you mentioned sounds like a great platform to fish from. Converse is also arguably the best cold water fishing launch in Vermont.

You are lined up to have the best summer in memory so best of luck and tight lines!

Looking forward to reading your posts and learning more about your fishing experience.
Spring is just around the corner, it should be another wonderful and fun time to be on the water.
