Boat down

Post by Dipsey »

Just read on the LOU site that a 20' Rinker was swamped in the Mexico Bay area yesterday. Took a couple waves over the bow. 3 on board possibly from Vermont rescued by another fisherman.
See you on the pond!

Wow. Hope all are OK.

Wow.......anyone know who owns, did own a Rinker ? Makes me think to test my bilge pump. So happy they made it back. Tackle shops out there should set up a donation bucket to replace gear lost by rescuers

Such a shame that those poor guys had to loose gear and put their lives on the line to go help stupid people.there’s no way any small boats should have been out there Thursday or Friday, but yet, each day I saw a handful of idiots out there in 18-20 ‘ boats, we were in 31’ boats getting tossed around pretty good, putting the pulpit in the water and taking waves up on the windshield,no 20’ boat should have been out there, just ain’t worth risking your life to catch a fish!!!!

I was talking to one of my clients last week. She said her nephew was on the boat that went down. She didnt really know the story but said he was out there with a group of 3-4 boats. She is from the Woodbury area.

I just got back from there. What I heard was, the boat got swamped by two waves over the bow. A boat fishing near by rescued the three fishermen and brought them back to the Mexico boat ramp and emt's checked them all out. All are fine! That's all the intel I have.
