Launched at Port Douglas around 8 am and ventured down to Converse. Calm lake and nice weather. multiple boats also trolling the area. Slow bites. Only a few lakers and 2 lost pulls during the next 2 hours. Returned back towards Port Douglas and trolled till 4 pm changing lures occasionally. We got a few more bites but nothing worth pictures. Ended up keeping 2 lakers and 2 salmons. 3 lamprey marks on one laker, all other fish clean.

Re: May 26
Thanks for the report Gerry. I suspect we will have a challenging bite till we get a good thermocline setup to push them into a constricted depth… it will be a long troll during the rotary derby if this keeps up…
